Whether it be through composing, playing or singing, Christina has had a love for music from a young age. As a teenager, Christina began teaching piano out of her living room while she worked towards her Grade 9 piano certificate in Royal Conservatory. Since then, she has expanded her practice to the school classroom, music studio, and church.
After finishing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Calgary, Christina spent a few years focusing on her piano studio and then decided to head back to school to get her Bachelor of Education. For over a decade, Christina has been teaching music in the classroom in the Calgary area.
Christina’s interests aren’t limited to piano, as she is a certified James Hill Ukulele initiative Level 3 teacher, and has published an ukulele method series called Ukulele for Children. The books were born out of her desire to build strong music literacy with children while developing a love and appreciation for music.
Besides music, Christina’s other passions are her family and fitness. She lives in the Calgary area with her husband Frankie and their two children.
